Summary of Kidsports Summer Camp 2010
Kidsports Summer Camp weeks are designed around weekly themes that include, Welcome to Summer, Western Week, Holiday Fest, Boardwalk, Hawaiian Luau, Wet & Wild**, Halloween week, Carnival week, Movie Stars, Sports Fest and Goodbye Summer. Events are centered on our weekly themes. Most weeks include a free field trip for all campers, and other weeks we will have a major special event.

• Kidsports' Enrichment Program is the place for your child. Challenge your child and give them some summer review. We will provide a workbook-based program and time for individual attention. Students will work with workbooks at their own pace and strengthen their skills. In addition, they will be introduced to some new concepts that will be covered in the upcoming school year. Available 4:30pm - 6pm, ask for details.
Activities - all day long
The camp day is divided into activity periods, which include sports skills, playground games, arts & crafts, structured exercise programs, and free swimming in our indoor pool. Some activities will be directly related to the camp themes that week. For example - during Halloween week, time will be set aside for a parade, Hawaiian week - a luau.
The Day Camp at a Glance
Camp starts promptly at 8:30 am - it is very important that your camper arrives "on time". Late arrivals will not be allowed to attend the important morning ceremonies so as not to disturb the other campers. Camp ends at 4:30 pm - parents may pick their children up in our Kidsports gym.
Early Drop Off is available starting at 7:00 am at $20 per week, and
Late Pick Up is available up to 6:00 pm at $20 per week.
Early Drop Off & Late Pick Up are supervised - quiet activities.
Dress and Food
Campers should be dressed in light, comfortable play clothes and sneakers. A bathing suit is a must! Camp t-shirt (included with registration) is mandatory for all camp trips.
Campers will enjoy cookies and juice in the am and an ice cream treat will be given at the end of the camp day. They should bring their own lunch and drink in ziploc bags, except on Fridays - we will provide the lunch. Every Friday, we will provde pizza and a drink for our campers.
Sleepover - August 7, 2010
Parents get a night off! On Saturday, August 7th, Kidsports will host an overnight sleepover. Campers arrive at 7 pm with a sleeping bag and pillow for an overnight party of fun and thrills. There will be an evening swim, court sports and games, late night pizza party, movies, and in the morning cereal with milk. Children are picked up at 8 am so they can go home to get some sleep.
BONUS: Sleepover is FREE for campers attending 6 or more weeks.
Camp Staff
Our very small camper to senior counselor ratio (approx. 1 - 12 for younger campers and 1 - 14 for the older campers) provides your child with extra special attention. All counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid plus they undergo an extensive training program at Kidsports camp before the start of camp. The senior counselors are assisted by Counselors in Training (CIT's), all of who are former campers of our Kidsports facility.
Facility
The Kidsports gym is air conditioned, carpeted and equipped with age appropriate apparatus that will challenge every energetic youngster. We will also make use of the Club's state-of-the-art facilities: Swimming pool, Sports Courts, Racquetball courts, Rockwall, Fitness Center, Basketball Courts, Outdoor Play areas & MORE.
Payment Policy
Registration Fees: Child $40; Family: $50 Registration includes one mandatory camp t-shirt. Registration fee is non-refundable.
Deposit
A deposit of $50 per week is also needed to reserve your weeks.
All deposits are applied to the last weeks of camp.
NO REFUNDS or CANCELLATIONS after May 1, 2010.
Camp Balance
All camp balances are due on or before June 1, 2010. There will be a $30 late fee assessed, if payment is received after June 1, 2010.
Split Payments
You are able to request split payments for your camp balance for a fee of $30. Second payment is due on or before July 1, 2010. There will be a $30 late fee assessed, if payment is received after July 1, 2010.
Schedule Changes
We will make every effort to assist you, should your schedules change. Changes can be made up until May 1, 2010. There will be a charge of $25 per week, if changes need to be made after May 1, 2010. ("Changes" are not "cancellations". Changes are replacements of one week for another week and are based on availability only)
Parents Please Note
To ensure a safe and quality camp program for your child, we limit enrollment and set aside reserved weeks for you. We therefore hold you financially responsible for all reservations. Please be sure at the time of sign up that you fully intend your child to attend camp for the weeks that you reserve.
Schools Out Camp
Ages 4 - 11 years (Preschool thru sixth grade)
Kidsports "School's Out" camp is a full day recreational camp offered to children in grades Pre-K thru 6, on days when the area's schools are closed. This program is an extension of our very popular summer day camp! Our camp is supervised by our Kidsports professional staff. A typical day includes a variety of sports, swimming, obstacle course, racquetball, tennis, arts and crafts, movies, etc. Kidsports supplies a daily snack.
Kids bring their own lunch and drink each day.
• Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
• Extended hours available: 7:00am / 6:00pm.
